Unable to access voicemail

Get an error message and/or goes to ‘calling voicemail’ but never connects and on ending call i get a ‘call failed’ message.. ??

iOS 16.7.8 is the latest update on the iPhone 8.

reboot your phone once and try calling your voicemail again

Try calling by simply press and hold 1

also, try calling your phone number and press *
