Hello,
When I try to access my voicemail (by pushing "1"), the call drops and states "can't connect" and drops the call. I have restarted my phone already.

@SEESEE - Use another phone / Your phone and dial one of these two phone numbers to access the voicemail portal: 1 (587) 580-4001 OR 1 (902) 580-4001. It'll ask you to enter your 10 digit phone number with public mobile & your PIN when you were setting up your Voicemail for the first time.

do you have trouble calling other numbers? some people report problem with calls this morning. Maybe it is a issue with calls and not voicemail

just to test if the voicemail is setup properly,
Call your 10-digit phone number from another phone
When you hear your voicemail greeting, press the star key (*) to interrupt it.
Enter your voicemail password when prompted.
Follow the voice prompts to listen to your messages.
If it works, try to call one of the voicemail access number here (start with one in your province)
once you found a working one, you can try to update the voicemail access number on your device's dailer settings

Please try to access voicemail through the voicemail icon on your phone - hope this works
