Hello!
LTE data is working fine and my laptop is able to connect to the Wifi hotspot, but the laptop can't receive data. My "Personal Hotspot" settings are:
APN: isp.mb.com
Username: <blank>
Password: <blank>
I've tried the many suggestions listed in the forums, but still not working. It used to work fine when I was with Koodo. Does PM need to manually update something on my user account? Not sure what I'm missing here.
Thanks!

Thanks for reporting back. Will keep in mind if I run into the same problem!

I finally got it working last night. The solution was to do the following:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
** Warning ** Doing this will reset Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.
I can only guess that there was some incompatible network setting from my time with Koodo that needed to be reset for PM.
I tried the following that did NOT work:
1) Rebooting devices (phone, laptop)
2) Settings > Profiles and delete all profiles
3) Settings > Celluar > Cellular Data Options > Celluar Data Network > Reset Settings
Also did not need to do a carrier update as suggested (using Public Mobile 28.0)

Hi @tsudoh,
I just tested my iPhone 6S and it seems to be working fine.
Are you able to confirm if your laptop is grabbing an IP address from your phone?

@tsudoh It is definitely a phone setting issue; PM does not restrict tethering. Two additional suggestions:
a) turn off hotspot, reboot your phone, set up hotspot again
b) shut down your laptop, and restart
And an Apple troubleshooting guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203302

Hi @tsudoh!
Go to settings > Profiles and delete all profiles that are listed.
Next, go to software update and instal the carrier update from Public Mobile.
Restart the phone after update is complete.
Hope this helps.

I don't remember anything specific settings for tethering on my iPhone when I had one. I remember setting an AP name to represent my iPhone when active for tethering, and setting only a preshare jey.
thinking about it now, I think you may be in the wrong area for setting it up.
i only have an iPad, wifi only, so I can't help any further.
