US roaming issues

huddkhan

Hi

I have been to USA and added on the 10 days US roaming to my plan and that add on was such a waste of money. I wasn't able to make calls it kept dropping off lines and I couldn't do messages either!

@huddkhan

Public Mobile's US Roaming add ons are DIY like Public mobile's service is in Canada. They require some work by the user to ensure they work correctly. They are not like "Roam like Home" seamless service from the big three which why you don't pay $12 to $14 per day ($120 to $140 for 10 days of roaming). If you purchased a Roaming bundle you may ask for a credit for your voice portion of the bundle as voice services are dependant on connecting to T-Mobile's 2G network that is not available everywhere although it sounds as though you had intermittent service. If you purchased two US Roaming add ons with a talk feature they will cancel each other out and cause a dropped call issue. If you were able to use data and text then it's unlikely you will get a full credit for the US Roaming add ons you purchased. In future arm yourself with the knowledge and tools to effectively use the add ons you have purchased. The following post will give you a good overview of how US Roaming add ons work with public mobile

Are you complaining or asking for assistance?

US add-on is NOT reliable anymore and it is all over Community if somebody cares to read First before plunging into US add-ons.

@huddkhan...follow suggestions provided by @Outdoorsman to see if you can get credit for unusable add-on.

For reference...did you manually select T-Mobile as the preferred network, or some other network ?

Which area of US were you in ?

Did data work ?

Did text work ?

@huddkhan

Hi to ask for a credit or refund you need the help of a service rep

There are two ways to contact a customer service agent , open a ticket through Simon here https://publicmobile.ca

Or  private message them here
