I successfully used one 15 day period. It has now finished. I have a receipt for another 15 day period but in my account it just seems to have added a credit to my account and has not activated? Thoughts?

I think it's just an unintended consequence of the system blocking you from buying the same add-on twice. I suspect the roaming addon doesn't fall off until 24 hours after it expired. It's better than the alternative of people doubling up unintentionally.
I agree it's a terrible design, but I'm quite certain it's not intentional. When I've needed a quicker renewal I've had good success having CS add it for me quite quickly. Also on the old 10 day passes I used to alternate between the Text/Talk $15 bundle and individual Text ($8) and Talk ($8) bundles. Much easier for the sake of an extra $1. Now that's not an option though, as the offering is more limited (but better value) with the 15 day add-on's.

Or the other bundle. But only when the original day counter is 0/15.

Or a quick trick is to buy a different one if it works. For example, if you got the Bundle for Talk/Text/Data , you can buy the Data roaming only without waiting for PM agent's help

Anyone know (exactly) why public mobile institutes such a ridiculous practice with respect to rebuying the same US roaming add on?
It seems strange to me, but must have something to do with some outdated agreement with the US networks for roaming.
Either that or it’s just another glitch around this place.

it's usually a good practice to let 24 hours elapse before re-buying the same roaming add-on.
Send a message to CSA for their help to activate your purchase.

Tehcnically, you need to wait 24 hours before re-buy the exact same roaming addon. Understand you likely need it now , so, you will need to open ticket with PM support to have them to make the manual purchase for you on the system (using the money you already loaded)
1. Please open ticket via Chatbot (requires access to My Account): click this Chatbot Ticket Link
Then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗" to open the ticket submission page
Next, enter your Community login, then enter your question. Finally use My Account login or 4 digits PIN to validate.
