I can't find the option to activate a sim card with a payment voucher it's only showing the option of a credit card.

@simplytrevor- You can also buy those visa gift cards.

You can contact customer support and they will set up the account for you and you add the voucher afterwards and then pick a plan. It's the work around for now.

Unfortunately recently Public Mobile has:
1. Removed the ability to activate using just a voucher.
2. Made having a credit card the only way to activate an account..
3. it no longer is possible to remove the credit card after activating.
if anyone has found a recent way to activate a Sim using only a voucher after August 2022 please let us know. If it was before then, and it worked then don’t bother responding. Things have changed including the support (or lack of) options. It’s no longer like it once was and this is sad. if you’re travelling and don’t have a Canadian CC or DC, you’re out of luck. If you don’t have a credit card… same deal.

If you prefer after you activate on your self-serve account is set up you can replace your credit card with a credit gift card I have several $0 ones that I am happy to give you the details to register on your account. Then you can pay by voucher.

You can still pay with other methods. Voucher is one, real time payments is another.

If I use a credit card to set them sim card up will I always have to use a credit card for payment or can I still pay monthly with a payment voucher?

Try activating again. Clear your browser cache and cookies and go incognito. You should see payment voucher option like below:

@William15 hi unfortunately Public has taken that option away you need a credit or debit card for activation you can use the voucher to pay for your monthly bill or you can contact a csagent to apply it at activation although that may take awhile to respond with all the issues the last few days 🙄

Correct. Because they no longer do it that way. Apparently you can contact support and they'll set up the account in a suspended state and then you can login and use your voucher.
Or use a credit or Visa debit card or even those prepaid Visa gift cards.

open a ticket with PM CS_Agent. at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. them can be activated for you
type: Contact Us and Other
Finally Click here to submit a ticket
you will then direct to another page to open ticket.
If you have error submitting a ticket, send a private message to the CS_Agent: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
check inbox(top right corner envelope icon) for response from CS_Agent.
