Transfer a number after activation

If I transfer my old 613 number after activating Public Mobile subscription,  does the temporary number assigned during activation need to be a 613 number as well or it does not matter?

Doesn't matter what number you have now, you still can port in your number

But remember, once you chosen to port, your phone number on the cell will got changed to the new one, ie you lose you current cell number immediately. You can make out calls and it will show the number you want to ported in.  But you won't receive in calls until the number is fully ported in

And remember, withrhe number you want to port in, make sure account is active and that old provider will send you a text and you need to reply Yes to complete the port

Hello @csrm88

No, it can be any temporary number you wish.

This is what I recommend. Start up a new plan, one that you want and get a temporary number. Then, make sure you can make and take calls, make sure you can text and receive texts. And finally, make sure you can use data. If all of these things work, THEN you can go into your account using THIS link.
