Telus bought phone on PM network

Hi PM community, looking to upgrade my phone and have a friend who has a Telus supplied Google Pixel 7a, never activated. I have read on older forum posts that PM Sims have mostly worked on Telus locked phones. Still the case? Sorry for the naive question.

@Srhughes77 yes, if the phone was used on Telus before, it will work on PM and Koodo for sure (Both PM and Koodo are part of Telus family)

And in fact, Canadian phones sold after 2017 are all unlocked and can be used for all networks
