hi @Immune depends what you need, PM is good for price but less features. Koodo has feature like Call Screen or international roaming, and you can get phones from them

What do you mean by “up the food chain”. What would be the benefit of switching from PM to KOODOO ???

@slusagm Not sure if that says about all PM users. Many of PM users stay because of the no-frill. People want phones would probably had not come over to PM the first place.
@hTideGnowyou are right. Kodoo offers roaming outside North America, but not many of us are constantly travelling and in need of roaming. For $16/day, there are many other better deals, or simply buy local SIMs.
People contemplate moving, just a reminder - PM is pre-paid, you use whatever allowed for your plan and never have to worry about surprises. Koodo is post-paid - it encourages/allows you to use and bill you later for usages thus surprises. TELUS wants you to switch over because your moving would increase the post-paid subscriber numbers which securities/stock analysts love to see, to promote the stock.

smart move. There are people who want new devices which PM does not have device offer, so it is basically a move to get those accounts stays with Telus family

Telus has always wanted customers to move up the food chain. Koodo is a tier 2 brand and probably yields higher margins for Telus. Customers should always do what is best for themselves, not their providers.
There have also been reports that Telus has created some offers if you're a PM customer and willing to port over to Telus. The plan that caught my eye was the $34/50GB 5G Essential CAN/US. It's pretty much the same plan as Public Mobile has but you get WAY more features and a real live customer service. I've like to port over to that plan but... having 22 referrals is the only reason I stay. Although it will be dropping down to 20 very shortly because of Public Mobile's constant dropped calls problem.

hi @ezl007 I would not say no reason to change. While PM has the best price, Koodo offers more features, like Calling Screening, or some people like its bigger choice of roaming. It just different people with different needs.

@danlee1 - I think that is right, but the phone plan could go up ($5 - $10 more in 8 months) as Koodo likes to do this right when there is no deals out.
