you need a new Public Mobile sim for PM account. But it from Telus or Koodo store for $10 or buy from Amazon.ca for $5

but generally, it is easier to port if your Koodo account is active
And if you are porting from Koodo Postpaid, you will port like normal. Use the app to start the subscription, make a payment. After payment, choose porting and enter Koodo account number
if you are porting from Koodo Prepaid, you will choose new number first during activation. After account is setup, open ticket with PM support agent for help to port from koodo prepaid

My daughter is with Koodo and wants to switch to PM, is that possible as it won't accept the Koodo sim in the PM subscription purchase
