@hjack No problem community members will respond to really old posts as well...someone brought one up from 5 years ago the other day. But please mark a solution....we can be desperate for approval around here. Lol!

It's good that you figured this out, but please do not mark your own messages as solutions. They might factor in to community reward calculations. I've removed it so that you can pick the response that helped solve the issue.

@hjack Welcome to public mobile. @hairbag1 is correct generally you don't award the solution to yourself because you would not have needed to ask the community for help. So just look at all the suggestions and choose the one you you think is most appropriate. At the community were always happy to help. You can also read the help articles, put questions or key words in the search bar to have similar posts and solutions come up to read through or just post your question to the community. The more you learn here will help you self manage your account and avoid any pitfalls, pm glitches and known bugs that they have been unable to fix yet. It takes a little extra work to save money here but worth it when you look in your wallet.

Glad you got it going again. What did you do that got resolution for you ? If you fixed things using one of the suggestions from above, why not award that suggestion as the "Solution". Click on the three little dots on top right side of your text box and you can edit your "Solution".

If you are going to retry I would suggest to port after creating account, sometimes there are issues where self-serve account is not created and your port is stuck so everything greats a bit harder.
Porting after is very easy

Are you using the same credit card with the same plan. The credit company system may think it's a mistake or fraud

does not seem to have activated card or account..
this is my third sim for the family this is the only one we transfered a phone number for
so not sure if that takes longer or payment is only payment page?

If you can check your credit card online log and look to see if there is a "pending" transaction for Public Mobile. If there is it went through

Your activation may be completed. Put your SIM card in your phone and test
Your account was activated if you received
1. a PM welcome email
2. text message from 611 for your PIN number
Try login to your self serve account using the email address and password supplied during activation process. If you can login and your account status is active, your account was activated.

@hjackIf you haven't moved / restart the browser just wait for a little while. See if the payment has gone through (that's the key).
If you are paying via credit card, open a browser on another device to verify to see if your card has been charged.

Public Mobile website can be finicky. Try again in an hour. Clear cache files, try a different browser and use incognito mode.
