I used to be on a plan with 2 gigs of data and it was quite fast, faster than my work computer network. I would actively not use the workplace wifi because the speed was faster on my phone. The day I upgraded to the 15 gig data plan I am now getting speeds so slow i'm getting a headache, and my work wifi is now 10x faster. It takes 2-3 minutes to load a single IMAGE. Videos are no longer worth attempting, even youtube. I upgraded my plan at the beginning of July.

I switched plans about a week ago and noticed the decline in speed, I was originally on an LTE plan years ago, then switched to a 3G plan 2-3 years ago and had absolutely no issues until this recent change. I wouldn't have changed had I known the speed would be reduced by half and unusable.

I've noticed the same thing. I was on the 10Gb plan and was getting about 5Mbps...now I'm lucky to get 2.5Mbps with the 15Gb plan. The speed is absolutely throttled more and makes watching any videos impossible without buffering now.
Frustrated is an understatement, I'm at the point of leaving after many years as a customer.

@Ryukin182 Try disabling LTE aka force 3G/HSPA/WCDMA mode, which has no throttle and you may see upwards of 10Mbps throughput. Only LTE has the enforced 3Mbps throttle.
With a 15GB plan, you should have enough to spare for a few speed tests (ie fast.com) to compare results.

It's strange, and although speed variances happen, I agree it shouldn't take 45s+ to load an image! A couple things to try:
- Put your SIM in a different phone... how well does it work?
- Use another SIM card in your phone... how well does it work?
From what we've seen, it's not clear whether it's something to do with your phone, or your account. If you don't have another SIM/phone to try, you can reach out to a Moderator (staff) (chat bubble, lower-right corner) to see if they see anything wrong with your account and attempt to reprovision it in case something glitched during the Plan change (it happens!).

did you try speed test? try https://www.speedtest.net/ or it's app. Try it and show us how fast/slow your network is. (Be careful, you might not want to try it too many times, it eats up your data quick)
Not sure if you have the old LTE plan or you always have the 3G plan. If you logon to My Account, on the My Data & Add-Ons, does it have a line like: "500MB + 500MB at 3G Speed"
if so, then you have the current "3G" plan like most of us.
Did you try download in different area of the city? wonder if it is an issue within a particular area.
Did you try changing your network to 3G only? Sometime, 3G is faster than the throttled LTE speed

Tried resetting phone, didn't work. Even with the sim card removal. And yes, I've been a customer since 2017 and never changed my plan so i'm assuming that it was the new data cap.The images/videos are usually anywhere from 5-10 mb, and I measured it and it took 45-90s to load the picture/videos of these small sizes.

I believe that you mean 3Mbps.

@Ryukin182 did you try reboot your phone?
If so, try to run some speed test on your phone to confirm what speed you are getting.

It shouldn't take minutes to load a picture, but that size of the file is a factor. How long have you been a customer? Were you on one of the older plans with full LTE speeds? If you were, the 15.5GB plan that you just swtiched to is limited to a speed of 3Mbps while connected tot the LTE network. However, even if that is the case, simple pictures and lower resolution Youtube videos should work fine. This could be a network congestion or signal strength issue.
