Umair1234

Hello

I bought a plan online yesterday and chose for sim to be mailed to me. But now I am seeing it might take upto 2 weeks to receive the sim. I cant wait that long to get a new number and sim.

Can I now go to the store to pick up the sim today ?

regards

canada post striking now.  but I don't think PM still sending out via regular mail.  So, instead of 2 weeks wait, now might be faster to get it from PM as they will probably use UPS or so. But ask PM to confirm

Even if using UPS, I doubt that the SIM cards would come any faster.  2 to 3 weeks is not a usual amount of transit time for Canada Post lettermail (for letters sent by other shippers).  That says to me that the delays have been largely on the Public Mobile side of things.  Changing shipping carriers won't improve the supplier processing time.

@Umair1234

check if there's a Mobile Klinik in your area as they usually have PM sim cards available.

Yes, you can just walk in an buy a new sim card

the sim number, whether you buy in person or wait for the mail, will be entered yourself using the app after

so, after you got the sim card, in person or from mail, go back to Public Mobile app, login and enter the sim number and complete the activation then

@Umair1234  Use the link in my last reply to find Telus / Koodo stores that have public mobile SIM cards for sale and you can buy one download the app and activate today with it no worries

You cannot pick up your sim at any Telus store as stores are not in sync with on-line orders.

Postal service being on strike not a good chance you will get your sim soon. And with a pile of mail there is a good chance your mail will be 'lost in the mail'.

Try to find corporate telus store and see if they have any PM sim. And when and if you get your ordered sim keep it as a spare or share with the friends.

@Umair1234

you can buy  one from Telus / Koodo store and ask support if they will reimburse you for buying one because of the strike and not having to wait

Find SIM card Find a store near to you | Public Mobile

its good idea to have extra SIM card hanging around anyways in case you ever lose or damage yours  or to give to friend to join and use your refferal code to save you both money .
