Trying to use a new SIM after moving to the UK and I am getting this error message. Does PM lock devices? If so, where can I get my PUK from

If you are using a phone purchased in Canada then it may work in U.K.   You will have to check network band it's on.

Just use the chat option. I had them unlock a Samsung A5 a week ago. It took about 10 mins. Dial *#06# on your dialpad to get your IMEI# to give them to get the unlocking code.

Do you know where I can get this from Samsung? Nothing I google seems to lead me to a place I can find a Samsung PUK

Are you getting this message when inserting a locale sim card? What is the make and model of your device? Public Mobile does not lock phones but some devices will lock to the network of the first provider sim card inserted when new.

PM does not lock devices. Your phone might be locked from previous provider if phone is old. I would not be surprised if provider was Telus and PM SIM worked with no problem since it is the same company.

Find your PUK: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/where-to-find-your-puk

- SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK - is asking for the phone’s (often Samsung) “master code" after entering the wrong code too many times. Samsung and/or your previous carrier can give you this.

- SIM network unlock PIN" is asking for your previous carrier's unlock code - just contact them with your IMEI (dial *#06# to get it) and they'll give it to you. If you enter this incorrectly too many times, you'll get the error message above.

- PIN unlock key (PUK) is a SIM-specific code used to prevent unauthorised use of a SIM card.

The PIN (Personal Identification Number) enables secure access to the SIM card and network. It is provided with your SIM card.

If the PIN code is entered incorrectly 3 times, the phone is locked (except for emergency calls) and requires a PUK (Personal Unlock Key) to reactivate it.

@LairdS , PM does not lock devices.  PUK code is a SIM card unlock code.  I think you need to seek support from the company that issued the SIM card.
