I have just changed carriers had my phone # ported to Public Mobile. They’ve confirmed that it was successful; however, when I call my number it says “this number is no longer in service”. I turned my phone off, took the SIM card out and re-inserted it, turned the phone back on, but it’s still says the number is not in service.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you try your SIM card in another phone? Also, have you tried to reset your network settings? You'd have to go into your phones settings, then network settings and find the option to reset all networks. Then reboot with SIM card in phone.
