I need to verify whether Public Mobile has actually received the SMS sent from an oversea bank as I was told they have sent the verification passcode to my phone. They provided records of the date and time for verification.
However, I was able to receive SMS from another oversea bank.

@sleepy111 Did you check your usage history to see if any sms was incoming during the date and time that was provided by the overseas bank.

Issue not yet resolved. Both telecom providers are still looking into this issue.

@sleepy111 Find out if the Bank supports one time authentication codes or if you can receive the code via phone call.

I do believe the work around solution to your problem is @popping suggestion of fongo. To the best of my memory that is the easiest to implement.

Nothing you can do if PM system is not setup to receive international short code sms.
Try install the free Fongo app with a free phone number on your phone. IDK whether the sms will go through. But something to try.
Look for free app with free phone number at that country similar to Fongo app in Canada.
You can access your SMS message over Internet soted in the free VoIP app.
I setup two 2FA number to receive SMS message from my bank. One of the number is my Fongo number for my travel. I setup my bank to call me or send sms. Fongo app is perfect to receive calls or sms while travel because PM does not have roaming add-on other than USA.

Hi @sleepy111 I don't think Public Mobile recognizes bank codes. Here is another thread and the chosen solution is by @gpixel ...
but you can contact the moderators to be sure, as provided in above link.

There's a similar thread from last year: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Using-Your-Service/My-phone-can-not-receive-internati...
Someone said that "Some international apps/companies send short code sms texts, which Public mobile does not support. Ie. Foreign banks to verify idenity, etc."
That might be the problem.
