Yep, however, you can't suspend on a shorter month because a delay actually makes it worse. They'd need to force an earlier payment before the cycle ends. Alas, these are just fun thoughts now beyond the OP's original question. 🙂

@BlueB: Same as doing it on a 31 day month. It's all a kludge. Either prepay at a preferred day or get over the fact that it's a 30 day term.

It looks like you have 2 threads for the same thing.
From your start date you have to pay every 30 days. If that does not work then either figure out your own method to pay on your preferred date for find a different mobile service that can do that for you.

@Anonymous
Good instructions, but what happens when the OP hits a shorter month like February with 28 days? That would require staff to forcefully renew it I suppose? 🙂

What is your reason for wanting to pay the same day of the month?
And do you have a preferred date?
Would you want to have the older 90 day payment option?
Or pay annually?

@patallcrane : To change your renewal date, log in to your self-serve account, Plans & Add-ons, Lost/stolen tab, Suspend. Your services stop. When the date arrives that you want to start a new 30 day term, go back in and Resume. Now you've started a new 30 day term.
If you did this in a month with 30 days (ie. Sep) then the next renewal will be the "same" day. But then that month likely has 31 days. So the next renewal will be a day earlier. Then on that day you could suspend your account again and wait the day and resume again on that other same day.
This is the only way to have the same day of a month.
Or, as mentioned, deposit money into your account on whatever day you like and the account will use that money to renew. It will get a little messy when that 30 day day floats up to the day you chose.

Like others have said, Public Mobile's cycle is always 30 days, so your date will be changing. If for some reason you need to reset your date, you can reach out to a CS Agent who can trigger a reset for you, but be warned: you will forfeit all minutes/data/etc for the remaining part of your current cycle when the new one starts. Many of us dislike the 30 day cycle, but the price we pay, we're willing to overlook it.

You cannot. Payments are on 30 day cycle and they are cast in stone starting from date you signed up with PM.

Use the hybrid auto-pay system. Right after your next auto-pay payment....pay for another 30 on top of what you have just paid. Then pay on your preferred date.....but in the form of a top up. This will keep auto-pay in place, keep your $2 auto-pay reward and allow you to pay on your preferred date.

@patallcrane you have two thread opened with the same subject line..
08-24-2021 11:39 AM
@patallcrane...your PM account is only 30 days duration...not a month. Therefore the renewal date will always change.
08-24-2021 11:38 AM
@patallcrane PM is running on 30 days cycle. So, the date will keep changing after a 31 days month and after February.
There is no way to set it on a specific date, unless you are willing to miss a day of service every other month, and still lots of manual work involved.

how do i change my dates
08-24-2021 11:34 AM
@patallcrane...be aware that you can also manually pay ahead of renewal date and still get Autopay Rewards as long as you have cc set to Autopay.
08-24-2021 11:31 AM
@patallcrane : The only way is for you to suspend your service for a day or two every couple months. Otherwise, the day will always shift upwards in the month. It's a 30 day term...not month.

To avoid potential autopay failures, you could add monthly payment amount few days before renewal day.
PM takes money from your account first then will charge your card for the balance. This way if autopay fails your service will not be interrupted if full renewal amount is in your account.

@patallcrane : You _could_ set it to a preferred day by self-suspending and then a day or two later resume on your preferred day. But you would be without service in that gap.
Way to do all the edits softech 🙂 So much for common forum practice of edits after the fact.

@patallcrane Autopay was not early PM running on 30 days cycle and NOT monthly. So, cycle start date/payment date will keep moving after a 31 days month.
I think all Tier 3 providers, Lucky and Chatr, all running on 30 days
For your issue, for some reason, Autopay failed (again, not because of the timing, timing was correct). Please logon to My Account->Payment, click on the One time Payment and try to apply a manual pay with Amount Due option there. (If it fails , then use the option "Other" and manually enter that plan amount +$1 extra)
