I have $35 cd, USA, Mexico plan. I live in Sault Ste. Marie. When I’m in the USA do I leave my phone on roaming?

Yes! If you got the travel plan you will be good.

@Ottertail

you can enable Roaming and just leave it on. With Public Mobile, you'll never get a bill for "overages" or anything else for that matter. PM is a prepaid service so you pay up front. Your data will work in us / Mex/Can only to the plan limit...after that, the data will just stop until next regular plan renewal or you buy an expensive PM data add-on. I've had roaming enabled since 2018 and traveled the us and Mex without worry of getting dinged when I get home.

Yes you can leave roaming on. Once there you connect to T-Mobile or AT&T.

Please ensure that you have a VoLTE enabled phone on PM whitelist to ensure you can get and receive calls.

yes, you have to turn on roaming

and make sure your phone connects to T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon

you will still receive a text asking you to buy roaming add-on when you enter US.  This is a text sent to everyone and you can just ignore it

Hey @Ottertail

Yes. Leave your phone on data roaming. Also, you may need to go into your settings and under Carrier or Network Settings, turn off automatic and pick T-Mobile as they are the most reliable service in the US.
