I happened upon a Canadian Cell Supplies offer and what a deal they are offering from Freedom.
CCS is offering a free sim card or e-sim and second month free. No activation fee. (Expires August 12th)
Freedom is offering their usual plans but what caught my eye was the $10 plan (for customers in BC, Alberta and Ontario):
100mb of 5G data.
120 outgoing minutes/unlimited incoming.
Unlimited texts.
Canada, US, Mexico Roaming.
$5 digital discount w/autopay=$5/month mobile plan
1gb add on/30 days=$15 5gb add on/30 days=$25
I couldn't find a Canada wide minutes add on/price or over limit minutes price.
**$25 friend referral program for $29+plans (strict conditions)
***Additional $5 monthly discount for 18 months on $29+plans (after discounts)
Freedom also has a price freeze guarantee for all plans and all of their customers.
I doubt Public Mobile will be matching this plan offer? For comparison Public Mobile's $10 50/50 legacy plan first offered in April 2018 and subsequently increased in price by $3 to $13 in April 2022 includes unlimited incoming and 50 outgoing texts and 50 incoming/outgoing Canada wide minutes.
Is the new Freedom the old Public Mobile?

The lowest public mobile plan is $19 1GB 4G unlimited calls and texts, public mobile doesn’t seem to match FM prices anymore
i don’t see the return of $15 or $10 plans any time soon, I hope I’m wrong
