Hi. The red dot on my voicemail will not go away. Also a 2nd problem of wanting my phone to go down to 4G as I ordered or LTE, from 5G, as 5G seems to kill my battery from 4 days down to 3 days

iPhone 11. I see the red dot on my phone icon in my homepage. I’ve turned my phone of and on several times.
I have no outstanding voicemails.

It happens to me every now and then on iPhone.
1. Wait it out.
2. Log into voicemail and log out.
3. Reboot as suggested.

@Ja14 What phone do you have? Just wondering if you are seeing a dot for Live Voicemail rather than carrier voicemail (iPhone running ios 17 or newer).

@Ja14 , the voicemail notification might be a phone issue. I find that if I listen to voicemails, the notification will disappear. As for preferred network type, you are free to select 5G or 4G. It should not make any noticeable difference in mobile data performance.

Are you on iPhone? If so try restarting your phone a few times to fix voicemail bug. For data go to Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Options, Voice & Data then LTE.
