Thank you for the detailed information. You don't need a new sim card, do you? So, there no way to set it a bit before you leave?

Good! Merci beaucoup.

hi @10000001884783 you don't need the VoLTE settings, yours is on the list and the system will turn it on by default even the option is hidden

I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5 g, where do I find the VoLTE settings? Thank you again.

Thank you.

I would suggest loading your account with a credit before you go if you're going to do that. That way you're not transmitting credit card information over a public wifi network. It's still risky signing into your Public Mobile account on public WiFi, but at least with a pre loaded account credit you're not making an actual credit card purchase.

Or use a VPN

I usually wait until I drive to a nearby US city with a Walmart...then I use wifi to buy the US roaming add-on. I just log in to my PM account using local wifi and buy the add-on I want...works like a charm. (As soon as you get to USA, you'll get a "Welcome to USA message and a nag to get an add-on...ignore it if you have the add-on already)  If you're only going for a few days...buy it at home, just before you leave home. One thing to remember....you must have a VoLTE certified cellphone that's been whitelisted by Public Mobile...otherwise it won't work for calls in USA...but text and data work great otherwise.

Same sim card, just an add-on to buy.  you can buy it in the day you leave for US.  No point to buy earlier as it has a 15 days expiry unless your trip is less than that.  But PM now has some Canada/US plan and the price is pretty much same as Canada only plans.  If you go US even just couple time a year, it probably worth to get that instead as the Canada US plans come with US roaming for free
