I too am paranoid about losing my rewards. I do not want to go in to the points system. It's definitely safe to click "change plan now" and not lose my monthly reward discounts? I just want to make sure because it mentions points in the plan description.

HI @MisterTommo

I feel your pain.   But if you need it, that is a great plan , Also, Canada-US plan is no longer this cheap with other carrier now.

And the bright side of that is PM's plan itself is as cheap as what other carriers offer, but you still have 5% saving and a $10 annual discount (from the 10 anniversary points).  So, in the end, you still saving money.

These replies didn't age well...I did switch but then almost immediately after they killed the rewards program for everyone. Bit of a bait and switch to offer that new plan (under the understanding I'd keep my rewards) then change it like a week later.

I just switched over to the $34 from my old $37 plan. I had to throw away half a month of time left on the old plan, but so what? This deal is well worth it. You have to pay upfront for the first month of the new plan, which I happily did. Those who had trouble switching over may have chosen the "renew at end" option.

@MisterTommo  safe to click "change plan now"

As long as you know there is no pro-rating of your current plan if you change now as opposed to change on renewal.  Unless you are running out of data or have an imminent need for US coverage it's best to change on renewal.  Either way you will still keep your rewards.

Good Morning @MisterTommo

You have my word, you will NOT lose any Legacy Reward by changing to this plan. I've changed plans at least 5 times in the 5 years I've been here. Only YOU can choose to move to the new point system. NEVER change to the new point system. 🙂  By the way, I too changed over to this exact same plan. So looking forward to using it in the US and NOT having to purchase US addons.

@MisterTommo

yes, it is safe, I have done that many times myself

You can freely change plan and it won't affect your current rewards from the legacy rewards system,
