The internet has been very poor for the past days in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.

Please attend to it.

Hi there, the community is made up of customers such as yourself. We do not have access to your account or networks so can't change anything in that regard. However if by poor internet your mean your PM data, you can go through the checklist of potential resolutions above to see what best improves your situation

@Meow

A speed test on 4G LTE data that is throttled to 3mbps will use 6mb to 12mb max. A speed test on the 3G network can vary wildly but generally don't use more than 36mb to 40mb. If the OP's data is slow then it's unlikely their speed test would use very much. It's unthrottled 4G LTE data that can use a lot of data 300mb+ but if this was the case the OP probably wouldn't be complaining about their poor internet service.

Maybe yes, maybe no. I just provide advise I learned from Oracles.

Hi @Meow Not true.  Puting 3G Only can help data too.

If you put Auto, the phone will try to use LTE first as long as it can connect,  but it will connect even it is a poorer signal vs 3G.

  In some case, 3G Only will definitely help.  Keep in mind,  3G can be used for both data and voice and 3G data can be as fast as 12Mbps

Changing network to 3G will not affect data. Only voice has benefits of 3G vs. auto.

How do you define 'poor internet'?

Loosing connection? Slow page loading.

Try testing your speed (if you have a lot of data available as testing will take good chunk of it).

@otjinfo2010  - if you are talking about wifi internet, call your internet provider for troubleshooting.

If you are talking about data on your phone to browse the internet when out of wifi areas, if restarting your phone does not help, try a reset of your device's network settings.

This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

Iphone:

To Reset Network Settings, begin by opening the Settings app. Next, tap General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. and enter your passcode.

Your iPhone will reset network settings and restart itself.

android:

Find and tap Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.

If still issues, try your SIM into another phone, the would rule out a device issue.

If you are having issues with other phones perhaps there are upgrades being done in your area or issues specific to the towers near you. Hopefully this will correct it self soon.

@otjinfo2010

Toggle airplane mode on/off. To see if you just have poor connection to the network. What do you mean by poor internet? Slow internet speed? Do a speed test to see what speed you are getting?

Hi @otjinfo2010 start with reboot your phone once.

You can also change to 3G Oonly (WCDMA Only) and it might help
