Why am I paying for my plan of unlimited calls with 500 MB data $30 when on your website is $25 before tax?
and why we cannot call and talk to a human??

I just ran into the same situation! I just checked their plans and found out that for the same price, I could have been getting an extra 500 mb a month!
It's not exactly the end of the world, but would have been nice if Public Mobile had informed me when they had a shift in their plan prices...

If you change plans now you will forfeit your rewards until your next renewal. You may be better off scheduling a change plan on next renewal and purchasing the $15/1gb data add on. It's a one time purchase that does not expire rolling over every 30 days supplementing your plan data until completely consumed.

I think it was at the beginning of Covid …

I’ve been with PM for over 5 years now. It is the same plan 500 mb with 3G…

HI @M_em so, you are seeing your bill $30 +tax monthly? how long you have been with PM? I think PM has as the $25 plan for couple years But is your plan LTE data speed? Current plans are all 3G speed

How long ago did you start this plan? Always be diligent and keep your eyes peeled for this very reason

No credits available unfortunately. Your plan was grandfathered and being things are prepaid here you were free to change to the other plan at any point in time. You may not “appreciate” this way of operation but any time a plan gets a bit worse or is completely discontinued they don’t take people off that plan but grandfather them on it which in that case is usually a benefit.
I started on this same $30/500 MB plan in December 2018.Around Feb/March 2019 they made the extra 500MB available to people who were on Autopay and again a month or so later they cut the price from $30 to $25. So for $5 less you got twice as much data.
You can do a plan change at any time here but it will give you the option to make the change right now OR at your next plan renewal date. Generally you want to choose at next renewal so that it makes the change for you automatically at that time. Doing it right away tosses out whatever days and data you had remaining, bills you the new rate right then and starts your new $25 plan.

Schedule plan change on next renewal. On Apr 20 you will be charged $25+tax for new plan. Do NOT change plan immediately or you will be charged $25 right away.

If you were on a old plan, you're likely paying less due to loyalty rewards. $1 off for every year you're with PM up to 5 years. @M_em

@M_em Sorry, no PM is prepaid and it's left upto the customer to decide whether they want to make changes to their plans. Sounds like you opted to Change Immediately instead of Change at Next Renewal and you will not be able to get a refund for what was remaining on your plan.
When was your renewal for your $30 plan? If it was today perhaps submit a ticket to customer support and plead your case and they may decide to make an adjustment as a gesture of goodwill, no guarantees, of course.

Most likely no. You were using your plan.
04-13-2022 01:39 PM
@M_em It's actually $25 1 GB (1024 MB) with auto pay.

Would I be able to get a credit for those months that paid extra?!

@M_em How long have you been with PM? Sounds like you might be on old discontinued plan and the current $25 plan with unlimited calls/text plus 500MB data + 500MB bonus with autopay has been around for almost 3 years I think. It's a good idea to review the plans PM offers at least once a month as they do make changes every now again, sometimes for the better.
You can change your plan yourself by logging into your account and select Change Plan near the top left of your overview page. It's usually advised to schedule the change for Next Renewal rather than Immediate Change as PM doesn't offer refunds/prorate. Make sure you are registered for autopay to get the $2 discount and 500MB bonus data.

What your self-serving account says - what plan do you have?
Current $25 plan offers 500+500MB +tax. Maybe you have some old plan.
It is easy to change plan, just schedule plan change on next renewal.

@M_em You must be on a really old grandfathered plan. To change your plan, sign in to Self-serve, click change plan, select your desired plan and either click on change now, or change on next renewal.

You just simply change your plan on your self-serve. @M_em
