I elected to have a new plan take effect on my renewal date. Today at renewal I see no sign of it. It shows the same old plan renewed through Dec 11. Is it something that just takes extra time to display properly, or did it really fail to change?

Yes, they charged the credit card at 2:18am, and now the speed changed at 10 am. Self-serve still shows the old plan, so I guess that will update eventually too.

Was your credit card charged expected - new plan cost? Even though all updates should occur during early hours, maybe PM is late updating web site.
Try using different browser. Try Incognito mode. Clear browser’s cache. Try forced refresh. Use computer and not phone to try to log in. Click on little spinner refresh icons lower down.
