I would also check to make sure your credit card details are up to date. This has prevented me from receiving calls.

You have to have an active service plan with your old provider to Port your phone number over to public mobile. If your plan was not active the port would fail and callers to your phone number will get an out of service message because your service with the old provider is not active.

Did you reply to the text with the old SIM in the phone?

Your phone shows a messgage that says out of service or does the person calling you hear an audio message that says that?

New customer versus old customer? Ported over number?
Was incoming call working before? outgoing calls? What about text and data?

@Cindy1234 you ported in your number? Did you reply a text from your old provider to approve the porting? If you didn't do that, porting was not completed and maybe that was the reason. The number could still be with your old provider
