Hello all,
I am traveling in latin america and had my phone stolen. (iPhone 14).
They have been able to message my new temporary latin american number via WhatsApp to me on my canadian phone number... They also have ordered food via UberEats. This leads me to believe the have my phone password somehow. Even after I I locked it on Apple/FindMy....?
I put account into stolen mode. And then I had a friend buy me a e Sim online on my other phone at home and activate that Sim with my Canadian number there.
Do I need to be worried about them porting back to my stolen Physical Sim? Is it possible for them to do that? How do I make sure that can't happen. All 2FA goes to that number which would mean they could get into some accounts if that happens... Let me know please thanks

The problem with online researched information is how it's generalized. The information that you have found does not apply to Public Mobile as there is no phone-in customer service. Please review this thread as the instructions to contact Public Mobile and how to halt the wireless service were provided in the first reply.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the information. Online everywhere says call to call your provider and warn them about this theft and block the phones IMEI. Does Public Mobile have a way to do this? What do I do here?
Thanks

@auzzydood They physical sim should be inactivated now that your friend has installed an esim in your other phone with your account using the old phone number. I'm not sure how this would work with your Apple ID though. I think I would check with customer support here if there's anything else you should do (use the chat icon bottom right of this page to submit a ticket) and maybe Apple support also.

I dunno how uber eats works, so maybe this suggestion isn't helpful ...can you find out where that food order went so you can locate your cellphone ?
