Why am I getting a message saying that my number isn’t associated with my iPhone?

HI @Amandafelix1976 

is your service working?  If so, it is an iMessage error only.  What you need to do is to remove the phone number from iMessage settings.  Then, reboot the phone.  Last, go back to iMessage settings and put the number back there

@Amandafelix1976   Did you just transfer your number into Public Mobile?  Have you tried reset network settings?  Another possibility I've seen suggested is to remove the phone number from iMessage and Facetime, dismiss both apps, restart the phone, open the apps and then add the phone number back in again.
