Number of ring before Voicemail

Jamal343

Is voicemail number the same as my phone number? if not, where/how do I find my voicemail number?

I tried all examples in the community to reset number rings before VM to 15 seconds, none of them works!

*61*phone number*15# ... etc.

Any help out is appreciated. So, Thanks in advance

@Jamal343   don't accept defeat yet  🙂

if you have VoLTE working on your Moto, open a ticket with PM support and tell them you have VoLTE and Conditional forwarding is not working.  We were told as long as VoLTE is enabled, they can fix Conditional forwarding.  Once that is fixed, try the number of rings again

Thanks Softeck

I accept defeat 🙂

Number of Rings does NOT work for me (Android - Moto, VoLTE is working).

Thanks all for your input.

@Jamal343   first, what brand and model of phone you have? is VoLTE working on your phone at all?

but yes, many confirmed the number of ring no longer working.  😞

@Jamal343  number of ring before Voicemail is set with conditional forwarding, but since PM introduce VoLTE, many said it is not working

HOWEVER, some said if your phone is connected to VoLTE, then it will work.

So, first check if VoLTE is working on your phone

Phone: Settings->Cellular->Cellular Data Options->Voice & Data, enable 4G or LTE there
Pixel Settings->Network and Internet->Internet, click on the settings icon besides SIM 1, turn on 4G calling there
Samsung/ Other Android: Settings->Connection->Mobile Data, enable VoLTE there

And when you make calls, see if the signal indicator shows LTE or drop back to H or 3G.  If it stays with LTE, then yes, you are there

If you have VoLTE working, then this is how to set ring before VM

The number of rings is determined by the 'number of seconds to wait' before forwarding the call to your voicemail. Get your PM voicemail number from your Phone Dialer settings.

Dial this sequence: *61 *16475804001*11 *[then enter number of seconds to wait] # [SEND or CALL].

For the number of seconds to wait - choose from the following options:

For one ring, enter 5.
For two rings, enter 10.
For three rings, enter 15.
For four rings, enter 20.
For five rings, enter 25.
For six rings, enter 30 (This is the maximum number of rings/seconds).

SAMPLE: *61*16475804001*11*20#[SEND or CALL] - sets your phone to ring four times (20 seconds) before going to your voicemail. Best to check mailbox.
( also technically, dialing *61*16475804001*11*20# can be shortened to *61*16475804001**20# since voice service is assumed)

Hi @Jamal343   you can call yourself to access the VM

But this is the list of the real voicemail number

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/Updated-list-of-Voicemail-Access-Numbers/...

For voicemail ringtone, it used to work but no longer now since conditional forwarding no longer works
