My previous provider transferred # succesfully. All data apps work except SMS service not working. I can receive and make calls bit cannot recv or send text/sms.

I was asked to reset my network settings and that worked.

Same here 😞 I transferred my phone number over last week. Still hasn't been fixed yet. This is incredibly frustrating because most of my online accounts use MFA with SMS.
