I have been back and forth talking with Public's chat center. I was going to go with public about 3 weeks ago. I signed up for an account and entered my debit card information, which I thought was only to create an account.
They then charged me and said my SIM was on its way.
I messaged them back right away to let them know this was a mistake. I was chatting to 3 or 4 agents who told me the refund would take 15 days.
IT HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS! Still no refund. Can I call my bank and tell them the situation to get my money back? I want to TALK to someone, not chat!
Can someone please help me. This is ridiculous.

They have probably closed your support request message thread. Send a new message using the private message link, briefly describe the issue in the subject line and ask them to read your previous message thread for reference.
Then check for a reply over the next day or so.....no response from you within 48 hours of their reply will automatically close the request.
Ask for a ticket reference # for future inquiries on your refund.

Previously it was always said that refunds can take up to 30 days. Wait another week before taking any drastic action with your bank. Charge backs will prevent you from future account activations using your credit/debit card with Public Mobile.

@NewfieBahhh who told me the refund would take 15 days.
Possibly they meant 15 business days, which would indeed be 3 weeks. Anything to do with banks seems to take longer than it needs to these days.

I truly believe the Public Mobile system is flawed and should not be charging you UNTIL you have registered the SIM card. This in fact would create less work and less problems for Public Mobile.
Since you have not registered the SIM card, you are 100% entitled to a refund. And it does NOT take up to 3 weeks, is should be done within 72 hours. Keep on them. If they continue to play the slow role, contact your bank and ask to reverse the fees.
There is NOBODY to talk with at Public Mobile. Everything is done through their forums here. This is why it's called Self Serve service.

hi @NewfieBahhh PM is Prepaid carrier and hence no refund. On the other hand ,it is no surprise when it comes to billing, you won't get charged unexpectedly
are you taking to agent via private message? only they can assist with payment issue. We are just customers and we have. I control with refund or not
