It depends if you port your number over to PM or picked a new number.
Porting will take from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Your phone old SIM will continue to work until your phone will show SOS when porting is completed.
New number should happen right away.
In both cases, you need to power off your phone before putting in the PM SIM.
