@EhSian That's a different scenario. It sounds like there were 2 versions of a $35 plan and you chose the wrong one and corrected it same day. Not the same as this.
Either way though, there's no guarantee that will pan out anyway, so proceed with caution.

Am pretty confident they will.
When i signed up for mine, I accidentally didn't get the US plan, but got the 50G at 5G plan. I was charged $35. I corrected my plan to the US plan, and then submitted a ticket and got my refund.

@EhSian That's a bold assumption. While it's possible customer service will refund you, it's not likely from the experiences we've seen posted here. It's a YMMV situation at best, and I definitely wouldn't bank on that.

Choose RENEW now. The billing gets confusing because they charge you $35 again, then you just message support and they will fix it.
Even if you paid $35 twice, its still cheaper and easier than getting an Esim service or a new simcard at your destination.

Unfortunately we are traveling to the US before the renewal date, so the only solution is to do it twice. I get that you're unable to help, but understand this is a really bad solution. It requires people to give up a plan hoping the one they want becomes available, and spend money to do it.

@goathead We're customers just like you. And like you, most of us don't like these restrictions either. But rather than get emotional about it we're providing practical workarounds. It won't be for everyone, but it is an option.
And to clarify you don't need to renew now twice, you renew now once and then schedule the second change for your next renewal date.
Right. So the solution is to change to a plan that doesn't work for us in hopes that the plan we want will then be available? Also, you recommend doing a Renew Now twice? Giving up a couple of weeks of prepaid service, to pay for a month of service on a plan you don't want, then immediately give that up to pay for a new plan?
Sorry this isn't a solution.

You can choose before RENEW date. You can change your subscription and then choose RENEW NOW, or Change on Renewal.
Do it manually online.
Choose Change Subscription. I was able to change from a NON-US plan few weeks ago, and recently changed to the US-MEX-Can plan for myself. I also changed my wife's plans yesterday.
Changed kids from 40GB 4G plan to 5G 20GB US-Mex plans too.

I had to problem switching to it. My wife is on a $36 Canada US plan, and I wanted to switch her to it but the agent says it's not allowed.

@goathead What plan are you currently on and when is your renewal date?
So sad PM has decided not to make this easily available for existing subscribers. Someone who is going to the US in the next month is out of luck I guess.

Il semble que oui selon un commentaire que j'ai lu que sa sœur a pu utiliser son cellulaire au Mexique pour envoyer et recevoir

My sister lives in Canada and travelled to Mexico and used her phone number to receive and make calls.

From Mexico, can I call anywhere in Mexico, Canada or the US?
From Canada, can I call anywhere in Mexico or the US?
I'm looking at this plan as a forever plan.

thank you for your prompt response. Just to be clear, (I might be a bit dim), I usually live in Canada and am travelling to Mexico on Jan 5th for 6 weeks. Will I be able to call to Canada when I'm in Mexico and within Mexico while I'm there?
hi @SandyMcB439
yes, you can call US and Canada and Mexico while you are in US
a week ago
Does this plan mean that if I am in Mexico or the States, I can call to Canada or within Mexico or the States?

@Bostik11 Glad the switch worked for you. If you switch again to the $35/75GB plan effective now you will be billed again no refunds. Unless you need the roaming and or big data bucket immediately (on top of the 20GB 4G) select the plan and schedule for next renewal, you will still get the deal.

Hi @Bostik11, glad it worked. No refunds or credits will be provided, per the warnings when making the switch. And nothing needs fixing, except maybe Public Mobile's attitude towards downgrades as of lately (it's intentional, not a technical glitch).
That worked. Is public mobile looking into fixing the issue. The workaround worked, I had to choose the option to pay now for the 4g $30 plan before I can see the $39 plan. If I pay now for the $39 plan will I be billed for both the 4g $30 and the $39 5 g plan? Will public mobile refund the $39 4g plan since I subscribe to the $35 5g promo plan on the same day.
@Bostik11 As you are on a $39 plan, you will not see the $35 offering. Having said that, if you select all or 4G plans you should/may see a 4g $30 plan. Other users in your boat have reported that they chose this plan for "change now" (forgoing any remaining time on their current plans). This then showed the $35 plan that everyone wants and they were able to select it and schedule the change for "next renewal". YMMV

I'm reading through this thread and it is not clear if this plan available to existing customers? I do not see it as an option to select this plan. This is what is available to choose from in my account page.

I had that $34, the upgraded to the $35 CAUSMEX(CA-US-MEX) $35 50GB 5G
Then after the $35 75GB 5G Thing, Got it for My and Mama's Plan, and Now, I am Purely Happy
Hoping the Fee will NOT Jump to the $45 Version which is the Same Plan layout, But $10 More

got it. and thanks @DennyCrane

@jackho777 Yes many have used that workaround successfully. Renew now to the $30 plan first. Just know that you will lose any prepaid credit for the current cycle you're in. Then once that's done you'll see the $35 option that can you choose to renew into effective next renewal.
