I recently got a new sim card and a new phone number. I can send and receive texts with this number. I can call using this phone number. But when others call this number, someone else answers.

@bjbruno Unfortunately PM (and Telus) has a glitch that it will sometimes give out numbers already owned by someone else during activation. In this case, you have picked the number already owned by another person
No worry, it is an easy fix, but you need to pick another new phone number
Just login to My Account, go to Profile page and click Change phone number and choose another one:

So you can't receive the call? Try reboot the phone. Or you chat with Simon for help, if Simon can’t help, he would let you submit a ticket.
