My network is always disconnecting, cant receive calls or make calls

3lena

My service is intermittently working, and more often NOT working than working. It will say emergency calls only, and will not be connected to a network and then will work again randomly. I cant make or receive phone calls. I've already tried to take out the SIM card, reset the network settings, clean the port, airplane mode, updates.. I've done it all.

Can someone please help?

hi @3lena

A05 is not a Canadian phone and was never fully compatible

Ask @softech showed above, it has some compatible bands so it works in some area

you were lucky enough that the network towers in your area have the bands your phone has earlier

but this network tower keeps changing and upgrading, probably the towers don't have those bands now

with a nine compatible phone, you can't expect full service all the time

only solution is to change back to a fully compatible phone

I think you are correct..  I confirmed prior to purchasing the A05 if its compatible and it was.. What has changed since?

hi @3lena switch phone just to test

sometimes after you switch, it will refresh the account and it will work well after you put the sim card back to the original phone

but if that does not work, ask support to refresh account on the system

so.. ihave to switch phone companies.. i literally just bought this phone last summer because my iphone 6S plus was not compatible with the network..

@3lena

add to what @hTideGnow said, A05 is not VoLTE compatible with PM (not on PM's VoLTE whitelist) and using only 3G for voice.  However, A05 has only 1 of the 2 PM's 3G bands.  With it missing half the bands PM uses for voice, it is not surprised that you have problem with voice

The phone lacks many LTE bans used here has well

your phone has the following bands:

HI @3lena

probably some network change.

But yes,  A05 is not Canadian model of phone and it does not have all required bands.

Why is it suddenly not compatible, its been working and now suddenly not? And why is my sim card then not working when I place it in another phone (A52) ?

HI @3lena

A05 is not fully compatible with PM network.

For Samsung, you need A1x , A3x, A5x series or S Series.

With you A05 being incompatible, you will experience what you are experiencing now.  I suggest you to consider changing phone

@3lena  Can try the phone set to 3G 4G/LTE or 5G and test if it makes and difference . Also you can ask support to refresh your account on their end see if it helps also

submit ticket with support . using the chat bubble bottom right of screen

If that doesn’t work you can always send  direct  private message to support .

HI @3lena

what phone do you have ?  Maybe your phone is not compatible with the network

and also, try your sim card in another phone and try to use 3G Only for network mode to test calls
