My Account: Topped up but didn’t receive data

In mid March I needed more data so I tried to top up my account. Was charged but didn’t get any more data.

What do you mean 'top up account'?

If you just added money to cover cost of a Plan for 30 days, that will not add data nor minutes (if $15 plan) to your Plan.

You have to buy add-on for data. Remember that buying add-on is two step process. First you add $ to your account and then purchase add-on. Reboot after that will help.

Since you already added money to your account and you cans see it on you account (step 1) now you just have to actually buy add-on you need.

2 step process, if you are still too far away from a renewal, you can just go into the add ons and click on the 1GB data option to get that. If you are on the new rewards program you will get a discount on most add ons and save a few bucks as well

@Flipperang did you top up early hoping to get early renewal of your account?  You cannot do early renewal yourself, you need to reach out to PM support on this.  

 

But first, check to confirm if your money is now sitting in My Account as Available Fund.  If so, it's good, your money is there and not being used (Unless you account has already renewed for a new cycle , then PM would have used that money towards part of the renewal)

 

You had data issue since Mid March and is now April.  Assuming it is still not your regular renewal yet,  you can still ask for early renewal by contacting PM support now.  Or an alternate choice is to buy 1GB Data Add-on for $15 and that should last for you till your next renewal

@Flipperang What exactly did you do to attempt to obtain more data?

 

Have you logged into your account to see if the money you added is in your available balance?

 

If one requires more data prior to their renewal date these are the options.

 

  • Wait till renewal and use Wi-Fi.
  • Add money to account then click on Purchase add-ons and buy a data add-on.
  • Change their plan immediately (not at next renewal) to a higher plan that offers more data. You'd be charged right away, no refunds on days unused that you already paid for in your 30 day plan. Your new plan will start immediately with the data
  • Last option if you want to stay on your current plan is by opening a ticket for support and asking them to renew your plan early after you added the funds to your balance to cover the plan.

Did you do any of those or is the money still in your available balance?

Toppimg up doesn't give you more data.  You'll need to buy a data add-on, do an immediate plan change, or ask a customer support agent to do an early plan renewal.
