I have tried resetting my phone, taking sim out, checked my MMS settings… Switch is on and APN settings are correct… my plan includes it… I have compared my phone to my daughters phone that sends and receives messages just fine and they are sent to the exact same things. Exact same phone and carrier and plan. I’ve tried to send a service ticket request but can’t even get that to go through. I was told (by computer chat) to send a private message but not given anywhere to send it - I’m really starting to regret joining this service. @@Everyone

I thought of that as well… Unfortunately, he works for Activision remotely (programmer/developer ) and they don’t allow that app to be used on the products that he works with. Some sort of a security thing… So although I can download it as it makes no difference to me, he is unable to use it on his devices because they are provided through Activision

Yes. I usually use iMessage/sms but my ex-husband has android and I need to be able to send him photos and videos etc of the kids. … I can message him via text, of course, but can’t send anything at all other than just written text

Just also had another thought. You can send pictures through WhatsApp in the meantime.

@BKNS27 "Yes I am aware that MMS requires data but OP should still use SMS."
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you meant, OP said SMS is working OK, just not MMS, but yes definitely agree to contact support. I assume this is for sending images to someone on an Android since you can't do that on SMS.

Yes I am aware that MMS requires data but OP should still use SMS.
That is why I suggested to resend the request.

@BKNS27 "iMessage should still work on wifi. "
Yes iMessage should still work on wifi but MMS doesn't, MMS needs cellular data.

That is strange even when your did a Network Reset and you had it checked out by a Cell Repair Shop.
iMessage should still work on wifi.
An agent should have got back to you by now. Resend the private message and ask for an update. Go to your avatar>Messages then change from Inbox to Sent.

Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense. I have tried everything I can think of and done so much research. I took it into a phone place and they couldn’t figure it out… I’m thinking it’s a glitch on the providers end, but have also messaged them and not heard back. It’s been like this for 13 days now, so I am about at the end of my patience with this

I tried that as well. Other than something internally on Public Mobile, and I can’t think of what it could possibly be. From everything I can find, I have tried everything I can try.

@Heather1975 I'm not sure if one of the suggested things that you tried included having cellular data turned on and not wifi? MMS doesn't work over wifi.

It happened in my iPhone and my spouse Android phone awhile back but for some reason it cleared itself the next day and started working again without making any settings change. It might be a glitch.

We have esims… I took out the previous providers sim .. my iMessages send normal , as well as regular text messages, just not Mms. No picture or video messages through text will send. My daughters works but mine doesn’t. Setup was the same.

@Heather1975 did you try to swap the sim cards and phones (your own and your daughter's) and see if MMS work on both??
and you sure you were sending MMS and not iMessage??
01-13-2024 01:04 AM
Yes. Did that.
01-13-2024 01:03 AM
I have an iPhone and yes, I did that already.

Thank you so much. I did go to the link you provided and message them and hopefully they can get it to work. So frustrating. 😞
thank you for your help though ❤️

Also double check that mms is enabled in settings

Also did you port some hours back to public mobile ? If so the porting might not be fully complete is my assumption. In any case use the link I gave and contact the customer service agent, tell them your problem and they should be able to investigate further.

Unfortunately the chat bot is broken; you can send a private message to the service agent using the link; https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
