Lost sim card

I lost my sim card that is a montreal number ,but I am in calgary alberta . what should i do ? I need to call public mobile and I cant find a call center number.

Just be sure to purchase an unactivated SIM card to perform the SIM swap with.

You can go to a store or find a quick alternative, some cheaper options out there and quicker as well.

Think of a sim card as the link between the phone and the account. Just the link. The phone has the transceivers to communicate with the network. It uses the sim with its unique to you code to connect to a network. The network finds your account and permits you to use the services by way of the code on the sim. This all happens in a blink. Your account stores what that code is. You can change it to a different sim.

@Imaneid Changing SIM card would not change your phone number.  Just follow the steps about , get the same card, go to My Account-> Change SIM card, and follow the steps and you will keep the same number

@Imaneid   Just get a new SIM card from a mobile store for around $10.  Do not buy from PM online, it takes long for them to delvier

Once you got the card, login to My Account and click Change SIM card, enter the new SIM number and pick email to receive the 2FA security code:

Another thing, Calgary has a much lower tax rate than Quebec.  Your tax is charged based on the province of the phone number (area code).  If you are still using a Quebec phone number and you don't mind to start new, get a AB phone number and you will save a bit on tax

Go to a store that sells PM SIM cards and then you can log into self service and choose change SIM card and put that one in your phone.
