Late SIM delivery; email says I can reimburse a second SIM purchase; will PM cover Amazon shipping?

As the title said, I made my purchase on 2026-01-26. It has been 11 days since, 2 days past the 2026-02-04 expected delivery date.

I would like to buy the second SIM from Amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0CD896ZZH), but I have no intention of starting a Prime subscription just for this purchase. Cheapest shipping comes out to be 4.21 CAD. Will this be reimbursed along with the 9.99 CAD SIM card price?

PM responded to my support ticket/private message. Can confirm that delivery cost via Amazon won't be covered, but the base cost of the second SIM card can be refunded.

However, the late delivery + late response from PM has pushed it to the last day of my billing cycle on my existing plan so Amazon is no longer an option. I'll try to find a physical store on Monday.

$4.99 sim and $10 are both the same.  Just $4.99 has an old design.  Get that one and it will work for same

$4.99 is prepaid SIM card, that won’t work right?

I got that email too! Thank you

The deal was for both new and existing customers!

hi @Lumme

the no refund for sim card is just for initial purchase.

but since you got the email telling you to do so, PM will acknowledge and will provide you the credit.  Also, we know from before they can request the reimbursement after waiting too long for the sim card.  But this is the first time we see PM actually send out email after this.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

This section is appended to the activation email. Email is named "Complete your Public Mobile activation today." It looks standard. Seems like it was sent because it has been more than 10 days since my purchase and I haven't activated my plan yet.

The automated chat just says that PM does not offer reimbursements for SIM cards.

I have submitted a ticket. Although I may have flubbed the details about the dates. Hopefully that won't be a problem.

And regarding the different offers on Amazon, it really does not matter which as long as I'm not paying for another SIM card. Will want to get clarity on that first from PM.

Good for you! I ordered on Jan 25 one day earlier than you. I didn’t receive an email like this.

I don't think Public Mobile was quite prepared for the enthusiastic response to the 50% Off offer and have to run to keep up to back orders. Try to be patient...the 50% deal is an awesome deal...just wish us existing customers could have had it.

@Lumme

There is a cheaper SIM card for $4.99 on Amazon.  Check the Public mobile store.

If you live near a Telus or Koodo corporate store or Mobile Klinik store, you could purchase in person.  Keep the receipt and submit to CS_Agent.
