Issue porting number

I just switched to Public Mobile from Bell and went to port my number. It asked for the IMEI and when I put the IMEI for the E-Sim in it removed my Bell E-Sim so I am no longer able to receive text messages to my number to confirm the porting of my number

Samsung or iPhone, what do you SIM Managment settings look like? Can you still see both e-SIMs or just the one from Public Mobile?

Thank you for the help! I was able to switch the e-SIM back to Bell through the settings and get the text to confirm

When porting in your phone number to Public Mobile you should always resort to using the Prevoius Provider Account Number instead of the IMEI Number, as this is just for confirmation it shouldn't have effected your e-SIM unless the port worked where your Bell e-SIM will say 'Unregistered SIM'.

When I added a Public e-SIM on top of my Bell one, I was able to use both just just had to chose between one at a time.

Are you using a Samsung or an iPhone?

Yea it asked for the IMEI when installing e-SIM with Public Mobile and asked for the phone number to port in.

Being a Bell customer myself, I also use e-SIM on my Samsung. I set it up myself on the Bell app under SIM & Device Options.

If you go to your Bell app, you should be able to reconfigure your e-SIM or set it up again entirely to get it back.

Did it ask for the IMEI when installing e-SIM with Public Mobile, or when porting your number in from Public Mobile?
