Interface with the parent company, spec. Telus

1. Does anyone know if one can call Customer Service at Telus to get a question answered re PublicMobile? Failing that, how would one -- via a simple, i.e., non-complex set of steps -- talk or communicate with a human being who works for PM?

2. My husband has an IphoneXR whose sim card slot is currently occupied by a U.S. sim card; does anyone know if one can enjoy cell service in Canada through Public Mobile, specifically through a PM e-sim card? If not, then which low cost or budget cell phone carriers in Canada allow one to operate through an e-sim card?

Thanks for the suggestion re how to send private msg to Support. The problem is (after 2-3 attempts), they don't reply. Reduced to things financial, there were several instances this summer of me effecting payment on my cc for roaming service while out of the country. Out of six weeks, my wife enjoyed service just four; yet, I paid several times re weeks 3&4 for which there was no service. It was my hope to take up this matter directly with CS_Agents. However, I can take this matter up with my credit card company and explain that talking with anyone in Customer Service at Public Mobile is like shouting into a black hole. If the cc co. reverses the charges, then someone representing Public Mobile may step forward. What do you think? Perhaps, Handy1, you can reply directly to the email address on file for me, spec., halsharpe@yahoo.com. -- Thanks!

Unfortunately, PM is an online service so there are not verbal communication with a CS_Agent staff. It will be done through private messaging like what you are doing here now in this Community.
Although PM is part of Telus, their staff will not help you in setup eSIM on your husband’s iPhone XR.

You have one of two options for service on PM.
- You can start with a starter plan from $15/month (30 days) on eSIM and keep the USA SIM or

- You can choose the Canada/USA plan starting at $50/month and just have one plan on the iPhone but it include 5G which the iPhone XR doesn’t support.

Here are the instructions to setup eSIM on the iPhone XR. You would be interested in the last step of the video:

This forum is somewhat your customer service. 🙂 We are members just like you. Like @Handy1 said below, that is how you contact them. However in this case there really is no reason to contact them as you can purchase a eSIM from Public Mobile and keep the american SIM in there at the same time.  I have the XR myself and have an eSIM plus another services SIM card. 🙂

Here is a link with more information. Public Mobile eSIM

@Ashevi11e  No Telus won’t talk to you about PM you need to contact PM support via private message . But PM supports eSIM and has CAN/US plans like 40GB $50 CAN/US so he can call to and from the US while here or there

here’s how to contact support
