I was hesitant to buy a U.S. plan through Public Mobile as last time I was in the US (summer 2020) it never worked. This trip it did work as soon as I crossed the boarder into Washington state to my delight. However, as soon as I stepped foot off the plane in Alaska yesterday, no network available, and I have 5 days up here and no phone. So lame. Is there anyway to connect to a network up here using the plan I have paid for?

I suppose it makes more business sense to deal with a handful of unhappy customers than to advertise a ‘less comprehensive US plan’ on their site.

But it does work in many other places. What they should be saying is that it doesn't work here and doesn't work there. Then the customer can say oh, I guess I won't be buying roaming add-ons for those places. But they don't. I think we've read many reports of nothing in AK. I think also NY.
Until VoLTE is introduced here, it's what we have. Several other providers offer NO roaming.

Thanks. Going through the channels you mentioned now. Looking for a US SIM card in the meantime.

Thanks. Super annoying, PM shouldn’t sell these plans and leave people stranded if they do not work. Makes me wonder why I use their platform.
