It's a bit more involved than just searching the Community search bar, @DDM69 That will give multitudes of similar such threads with the same heading, but not necessarily concise instructions.
Under the Get Help section, there are basic instructions regarding changing a plan, however users here not only provide good and prompt answers, but also frequently include pictures to guide users along.
All in all, I'd much prefer the guidance of folks here rather than rely on (sometimes outdated) Get Help articles.

That's good advice though 2 minutes isn't a long time to wait and is less time than searching and sorting for a correct answer that is not "Contact customer support."😜

Try using the search bar near the top of the community page. This is where you should look first for answers to simple questions. Posting a question to the community should be next if you can't find an answer.

@mrpetermorgan simply login to My Account, Plan & Add-ons page. Click Change My Plan
then then plans are grouped by 3G plan and 4G plan, pick the type you want. Scroll through the list via the yellow arrows on the far right (or at the bottom for mobile site)
when you make the plan change, make sure you know the difference between Change plan now and Change on renewal date. Most people choose change on renewal date unless you need the extra data or minutes urgently

Click on
then on
scroll through plans using arrows on the right-hand side of the screen
select When do you want to change plan
