I paid for a subscription and got a phone number but it never asked for the sim card number.

If should have asked for a SIM card before processing to step 4.
Just contact a CS_Agent and create a ticket by the Chat bubble for an agent to help.

I don't know how but it never asked for sim card. Now I can't complete the ever trust thing because it sends text to the phone number that is not connected to a sim. I cannot get into account to cancel the subscription or anything. Now I'm stuck with now way out!

sim card should be the first 2 steps. Or did you ask PM support to send you a new sim card?
and were you using the Public Mobile App to subscribe? if not, please download the Public Mobile app, then login using the same login email and password and complete the subscription
