I have no access to data despite apparently still having data. Is this a problem with my phone or Public mobile?
I have ignored Public Mobile and all its plan change and point changes since 2022 because I was happy with what I had. In the past three months or more I have noticed that I cannot access data on my Samsung S8 unless I have Wifi. I just checked my profile and it shows I have data left which, since I never had a data plan, I can only assume this is my pre 2023 Christmas gifts from Public Mobile. Other posts have said it does not go away. The pic below seems to confirm that. So why do I not have data while away from my home in Alberta but still within Canada?

That's great. Public Mobile has been upgrading and making a lot of changes recently the APN been one of them.

Thanks it worked. My question is why did I have no data access when I had an APN with similar but not all your entries. And this is the first time I have ever created an APN.

Mobile data is on but I have always run with Data roaming off as I used to make business trips to the States and once forgot to add on a US package.

According to my mobile network settings I am on 3G or 2G depending on what it autoconnects to. Its a Samsung S8 from 2017. When I got my basic $15 plan it was 2017 and I have had not need to upgrade because my data needs were met by all the Christmas gifts Public Mobile gave in that period until 2023. Otherwise I am always connected to Wifi. This is why I am wondering if its the phones age has become incompatible with Public Mobile's network.

I had this issue last week, my phone couldn't access the 4g network. It was stuck on H+ for most of the day which affected my data. It just happened for a day.
Is this the same thing with you? Are you receiving a 4g reception?

make sure data is turned ON in cell settings. Make sure to disable Wifi Assist while you're at it.

It looks like you still have plan's data available. Until you use ALL plan's data holiday gift data will not kick in.
If data is not working, try to reboot phone and try again to connect to internet. If you 'have' data while wifi is on then phone is using wifi and not plan's data, most likely...
