I am told to pay minimum of $19., so why can't I use the remaining $6 reward I have to reduce my cost?

I've been struggling with this as well. I will try and remember the steps and will try it when I whittle down my balance. I gave up and just added a $40 voucher instead.
I wish I could tag your post. What happened to that feature?
Keep trying and tell us if you were successful as I would like this option too.

Get in to SIMon.
Click on Yes, I'm a customer.
Click on Sign In.
Log in in the login pop up.
Click Manage my account
Click on View more options
Click on Top-up my account
Click on Yes, I want to use the credit card on file.
Unfortunately, at this point I'm not certain of the steps as I do have enough balance so I'm not certain if this will come out differently with not enough balance. Anyway....
Type in the amount you want to pay ie. your $13. Keep following the buttons and requests for typing things.
Let us know how you make out with that. Another regular did do this successfully a few days ago so it should work.

The link provided by the bot takes me to My Account page. A custom amount under $19. is not possible.

What doesn't work? The account login will not let you do a custom amount. The chatbot login has been tested that it can.

Doesn't work.

@Metal1967- I was saying that to the OP. I don't get the second part.
@S2art- It should not be a problem for a customer to have the anticipation of those rewards. If you deposit the $19 then after your next renewal you will have $6 balance again. We used to be able to do a custom amount in anticipation of rewards. Now that's only available in the chatbot.
I of course grant that rewards may change before renewal.

The rewards were applied a couple days after my last renewal (28 days ago), is this normal?

We all know about the stupidity part..😂😂they think we live a a faraday cage.. 😂😂

Thank you for the simple and sensible explaination.

Rewards will be credited ONLY at renewal time as it is variable amount. Your referral could drop off, autopay could cancelled, etc.
So $19 is correct.
10-31-2022 02:03 PM
That’s what your estimated next payment is.....it could be higher or lower based on any chsnges of your referrals. Any reward dollars are applied at your payment date. Any balance in your account is applied to your payment first.

Hi @S2art
add to @dust2dust comment above, try to use the chatbot here: https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot
Type: Add Fund
it will give you a link to My Account, click on that link and follow it and you should be able to add the amount you want

This is a newly introduced stupidity in the new system where you can't do custom amounts like we used to when you had less balance than the plan cost. It wants to force you to get your balance up to your plan cost. You can however do custom payments logging in to your account in the chatbot.

You has a $25 plan with $6 in rewards.and $6 in available fund. PM asks you to pay $19.
Go to payment page,it should tell you to pay $13 on your renewal fate. If you want to add $13 to you account before renewal date, select custom to pay $13.

Pay what the system asks for and any thing left over after your renewal payment will get left in your account balance for next months bill.

@S2art Although you know that’s the discount you are going to get.. rewards aren’t applied until the actual due date.. it’s there but not until the actual renewal date
