I am from Canada in US. I purchased a talk and text ad on. Data roaming on or off??

@Nezgar- I see your word "possibly" but I beg to differ. MMS needs data when roaming. The customer did not say they also got data. Just talk and text. I leave the data roaming switch on all the time too as per ChuckYeah for that reason. I also don't think having data roaming on would fool apps. Wouldn't that be actual data on?

But I'm no expert.

You possibly need to leave data roaming ON if you want to send/receive MMS, and it will only work for MMS with no worry of surprise data charges, since with Public Mobile you won't be charged for things you didn't explicitly pre-pay for, even while roaming. Turning off data roaming may help your apps know there is no data connection faster though, rather than trying for a while and eventually timing out since the network is blocking it...

Make sure you connected to TMobile, might want to use manual connection if automatic didn't pick up

@Jlop11 you don't need mobile roaming data enabled if you only have talk and text roaming.  make sure you manually connect to TMobile

and which city state you are at?  voice might not work well everywhere
