How to use public mobility in USA

I will have a trip in US. Is it free for the phone call and text in US?  How much to charge the data if use roaming?

if you still see it LTE, then yes, you have VoLTE

you sure the VoLTE is disabled or don't see the option?  iPhone and some phone has the option hidden, carrier (PM) has enabled the option for you and then hide it

My iPhone XE top bar displays LTE when wifi is off. Make a call, still LTE. So, that means volte is enabled? And I can call in US. Even volte is not enabled, data and text should be still ok if buy the plan?

So it probably is. To try to verify, turn off wifi, watch your top bar for the name indicators like LTE or 4G. Then make a call and watch those indicators. Do they change from 4G or LTE? If not then the phone is enabled for volte and you will have a fine experience with roaming in the states. If you see it go to 3G then it's not enabled. It being an iphone maybe check for OS updates. If that's done then maybe contact support to get them to enable the phone. iphones are easier for them to enable than Androids.
All of this volte info is only about talk. Text and data should be fine. If your phone is set to 5G then you might have some extra chances of services if you set it to 4G LTE.

Customers can receive real sms texts without an add-on. No other services. You can still do some messaging when connected to whatever wifi. That's not Public and roaming.

If you don't want to pay, you can use VoIP app to help.  Download TextNow and you can make calls and send text using the app with Wifi for free

Another method is BEFORE your billing date, switch to Can/USA plan. Note the change only apply on next billing date.  Therefore, you need to do it before next billing date and travel after next billing cycle. So plan ahead.

Your phone needs to have been enabled by Public to use their volte service. Your phone may or may not be capable of using volte. Your phone may or may not be on a very short list of possible phones that can use volte specifically here.

If you're heading to the US, if you wish to use your Public Mobile phone while there, you will need to purchase an add-on. They are 15 days each from the moment you purchase it. Here is how you can purchase one. 

How to purchase Bundles, Data and Extra Minutes

Log into your Public Mobile account, then click on Subscriptions and Add-ons on the left side column. .

The scroll down to the bottom where you’ll see this on your right hand side.

Click on Shop Add-ons.

Here you have 3 options. You can purchase Bundles, Data or Minutes.

Here is what Bundles look like. With Bundles you can purchase US Roaming. This is for when you head down to the United States. You can purchase just Talk and Text which will last you 15 days from the date of purchase. Or you can purchase US Roam Talk Text and 3GB of data. The prices are below

if you want to use your Public Mobile account whilst in US, you'll need one of the 15 Day US Roaming add-on options listed above. For best talk experience in US, confirm if your cellphone has volte enabled in Settings.
