Cannot port my phone number

I'm switching from Rogers to Public Mobile and I transferred my phone number in the Pub Mobile app yesterday. However, I could not receive phone calls and certain text messages. I removed the new SIM card and put in my old one in an attempt to receive a SMS from Rogers asking for my permission to port my number out the new provider, but I did not receive this SMS. I also tried reinitiating the transfer of my phone number in the Pub Mobile app to solve this problem but when I put in my phone number, it gave me an error message saying "invalid phone number". What am I supposed to do?

@Allegra1 You need PM to reinitiate the port request to Rogers. Put your Rogers sim in and call the number I sent to your inbox.
