I almost feel like Public mobile is cheating customers when they're unable to fully use up their paid data add-on if plan renewal occurs before being able to finish it, especially because the cost for buying this add-on is very expensive in the first place.
While I don't know too much about software programming, I'm thinking this could be easily programmed into the system to allow customers to use up their paid data for the full 30 days before being able to draw from the plan data. Ideally, public should extend the expiry for any data add-on or reduce the price or go back to non expiring data that was a main reason to activate here for many of us though I realize public hasn't shown any interest in rolling back this particular policy change.

Select the plan that's more right for you and make sure you select "Change on next renewal date" instead of change now or you will forfeit current the plan and be charged now.

You can, but there's no pro-rating here so you forfeit the data and money for the last plan.
Adding - but some people do that when they run out of plan data. Instead of buying add-ons to tie over until renewal, they just re-up and start a new 30 days and a new bucket of data.

As mentioned @krazbors that is not the way the system works. As soon as you have data replenished in your plan, the Plan Data kicks in. Then when the Plan Data is gone, that is when any addons kick in. That is just the way it is with the service.

For data addons, that only applies to data addons bought before the very early part of 2023. Current data addons expire in 30 days from purchase.
I guess I learnt something new today! Makes sense as to why the OP wishes to consume them first! Thanks!

@krazbors With the exception of things such as roaming and long-distance calls, PM primarily uses your primary plan for services (such as data usage). Once you have consumed your allotment of data and/or minutes for the month, only then will PM use your data/minutes from your add-ons.

HI @krazbors
yes, I understand what you meant. Many in such situation, and No, there is no way to make the system use the data addon first. When new cycle starts, PM system will start drain your regular data first before using your add-on. So, the remaining of your data add-on pretty much a waste

No, I mean I have an add-on data which is used for 25% (I purchased 5 days before my subscription data). and I have also my subscription data which is using now. I want to use my add-one first

HI @krazbors
I guess you meant data addon since it has a 30 days expiry
Sorry, there is no way to make it use paid added first. So, when you buy add-on, buy only enough and not more than you plan to use for the rest of the cycle
